2024 MSTA Conference Request for Proposals
The Maine Science Teachers Association (MSTA) invites you to submit a proposal for MSTA’s 2024 Science For All Conference on Saturday, April 27th at Blueberry Cove 4H Learning Center located in St. George, Maine.
Proposal Requirements
Proposals are due by January 5 and notifications will be sent starting February 1
We welcome proposals of both traditional conference break out sessions as well as outdoor learning and field work sessions.
The following criteria will be used to evaluate proposals:
- Supports or identifies specific goals from the NRC Framework, NGSS, and the contemporary research connected to those standards.
- The proposal is grounded in equity or Science/STEM for all.
- The proposal engages session participants in traditional or outdoor classroom examples, classroom strategies, examples of assessments (formative and summative), classroom lessons or units, student work, AND/OR other topics of relevance to Maine teachers.
The following are the fees for the 2024 conference.
- $110 regular registration (non MSTA member)
- $100 early bird registration (non MSTA member)
- $90 regular registration (MSTA member)
- $80 early bird registration (MSTA member)
- $70/person for district rate (4 or more)
- $60 presenter registration
- $30 pre-service educators
