* She teaches 5th-grade science students at Mountain Valley Middle School, in RSU 10, serving the communities of Mexico, Rumford, Hartford, Sumner, Buckfield, Hanover, Roxbury
* Holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a concentration in Music from the University of Maine at Farmington; a Master of Science in Education, Inclusion Education, from the University of New England; a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study, in K-12 Literacy from the University of New England; and an Education Specialist certificate in, Teacher Leadership, from Walden University.
* She has been teaching for 19 years and is a National Board Certified Teacher.
* She was nominated by her teaching colleague, Jessica Curato, who shared, “She literally makes science come alive for her students. She is a true advocate for her students’ needs.
